She was predeceased by: her parents, DeWitt Lewis and Mary Lewis; her husband George Vangoff; and her siblings, Barbara McCutcheon, DeWitt D Lewis Jr. and Bob Lewis.
She is survived by: her children, Henry Hamilton, Mary Linda Jorgensen, Bruce Hamilton (Nichole) and Mark Hamilton (Vida); her sister Carol Schultz; her grandchildren, Jeremy (Susan), Sarah (Marc), Ashley, Sydney, Eric and Julie; her great grandchildren, Gianna, Matthew, Lily, Emilia, Dmitri, Mila, Nikolai, Dylan and Alana; and her close friend Clare.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Mary Ellen.
