He was predeceased by: his father George Kenneth; his wife Virginia Ann Wharton; and his sister Jean Harned. He is survived by: his daughters, Kim Hartwig (Ken), Kerry Merlo-Poole (Nick) and Lisa Torres (Angel); and his brother Bill Wharton (Susie). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
