Though Edward may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Edward touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Gregory A. Rakowski and Leigh Anne Hooks; his grandchildren, Eric (Jennifer), Brianna, Dominic and Alyssa; his parents, Alexander G. Rakowski and Victoria Rakowski; and his sister Barbara J. Militello.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hackett-Metcalf Funeral Home (2640 Monroe St, Dearborn, MI 48124). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
