He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Karas and Karolina Karas; and his siblings, Tony, Ben, Stella Kaczor, Mary, Andrew, Joseph and Walter.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Karas (Pastuschyn); his sons, Stephen Karas (Carol Marie) and Paul Karas (late Karen); and his siblings-in-law, Beverly Antonow, Diane Berkebile and William Pastuschyn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews.
