With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Mercieca (Dearborn Heights, Michigan), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 28, 2024 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Mercieca to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Eduardo Mercieca (Eddie); her nephew Sam Said; and her sibling Carmen Said (late Paul). She is survived by: her children, Charles Mercieca (Stella), Carmen Parise (Mike) and Agata Mercieca; her grandchildren, Michael, Rebecca (James), Michelle, Chistopher (Kristina) and Melissa (Josh); her great grandchildren, Grace, Henry and Anthony; and her great great grandchild Evelyn. She is also survived by her family, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church (910 Austin Dr, Saline, MI 48176). A burial was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the St. Hedwig Cemetery (23755 Military Rd, Dearborn Heights, MI 48127).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Gilbert Residence (203 S. Huron St., Ypsilanti, MI 48197) in "Memory of Mary Mercieca".
