Though Maria may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Maria touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Vasile; her child Mihaela Cabral (David); her stepchildren, Luminita Banceu-Lucas (Kyle) and Daniela Banceu-Schmidt (Christopher); and her grandchildren, Sara Beckman, Shane Nassar and Monique Cabral.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at 7:00 PM at the John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home (1139 Inkster Rd, Garden City, MI 48135). The lying in state was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Sts. Peter & Paul Romanian Orthodox Church (750 N Beech Daly Rd, Dearborn Heights, MI 48127). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
