It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Mattieson (Dearborn Heights, Michigan), born in Dearborn, Michigan, who passed away on December 14, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Paul and Patricia; and his nephew Scott. He is survived by: his wife Georgiana; his children, Mace and Chiara; his sister-in-law Linda; and his godchildren, Lisa McAllister (Prokop) and Stephen Mattieson.
Jack was later named to the Northland Hockey Hall of Fame, both for his contributions to their hockey program while himself a student athlete, and then for his work to restart that program in the 1990s.
