He was predeceased by: his parents, Guglielmo Russo and Antonietta Di Russo; his child Davide Di Russo; and his sister Maria Vespa (Edward). He is survived by: his wife Rosa; his daughters, Giuseppina Di Russo, Daniela Tuohey (Robert) and Melissa Di Russo; his grandsons, Antonio and Angelo; and his nieces and nephews, Felicia Vespa, Paola Vespa and Gino Vespa (Angela).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Joe's name may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, (https://www.michaeljfox.org) honoring his generous spirit and lifelong commitment to helping others.
