Shakarian of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 8, 2024 at the age of 98. As Dick departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Dick. Though Dick may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Karekin Shakarian (Carl) and Satenig Hampartzoumian-Melikian (Mary); his wife Julia Anne Shakarian; and his siblings, George, Rose and Alfred.
He is survived by: his daughter Paulette Shakarian; his grandchildren, Jamie (Andrea) and Jason (Kristen); and his great grandchildren, Mia, Cohen, Emerson, Madelyn and Josphine. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, family and friends.
