He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Priest and Nora Priest (Cornell); his brother Daniel Priest; his brothers-in-law, Joseph Covert (Joan) and Vernon Buckley; and his close friends, Skip Root, John Roby and Walt Dumler.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Covert; his daughters, Julie Sweers (Gus) and Angie Sweers (Jeff); his sister Barbara Buckley; his sisters-in-law, Kathy Priest and Rose McDonald; his grandchildren, William Sweers (Andrea), Alexis Sweers (Aaron Klinert), Andrew Sweers (Cecily) and Tyler Sweers (Lynn); his great grandchildren, Dru Sweers, Van Sweers, Drake Hodge and Lola Sweers; and his friend Varian Traver.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Davison VFW Post 4087 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in Bill's memory.
