It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Gates of Davison, Michigan, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on January 3, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Herbert S. Gates Sr. and Pearl Gates (Wiltshire); his brother Paul Gates; his wife Carmen Gates (Wegener); and his siblings, Donna Chapman (Gates) and Dr. Herbert Gates Jr..
He is survived by: his former wife Carole Anderson; his children, Paul Gates (Chrissy), Stacy Nelson (Michael) and Michael Gates; and his grandchildren, Jarred Gates, Ryan Gates, Aislinn Gates, Brian Nelson, Andrew Nelson, Aiden Gates and Dylan Gates.
