He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Ballard and Ester Ballard Massey (Sneed); his wife Barbara; and his brothers, Glen Ballard and E. W. Ballard.
He is survived by: his daughters, Judith Ballard, Nancy Ballard and Susan Lutz (Mark); his grandchildren, Charles, Gregory Smith, Douglas, Kimberlee and Victoria Lutz; and his brothers, Robert Ballard (Donna) and Lester Ballard (Ann). He is also survived by other loving family members and good friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family to be donated to charitable organizations, in Von's memory.
