She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Mironik and Margaret Mironik (Barnowski); her husband Clinton Pierce; her children, Michael Pierce (Elizabeth), Franklin Pierce and Judith Hodge; and her siblings, Archie Mironik, Helen Gos, Nancy Bushman and Virginia Anspaugh.
She is survived by: her daughters, Frances Smith (Gerald) and Susi Pierce; her grandchildren, Toby Smith, Stacy Nemeth (Joe), Cory Pierce, Dianna Hodge, Cynthia Hodge, Clinton Pierce (Kristen), Hank Pierce, Keith Pierce, Franklin Pierce (Angel), Vicky Hayden, Sheila Lindsey and Joe Hayden (Kathy); and her great grandchildren, Calvin, Antonio, Lindsay, Hailey, Brody, Raquel, Marisa, Samuel, Samantha, Megan and Shaina. She is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in Sophie's memory.
