She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren Cook and Verna Cook (Scott); her husband LeRoy Whitman; her son Donald Whitman; and her siblings, Reva Smith, Warren Cook and Richard Cook.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald Whitman (Colleen Fournier), Connie Hopper (Bill) and Carol Gallagher (Barry); and her sister Ida May Crossen. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, in Ruth's memory.
