He was predeceased by: his parents, Hiram Swayze and Edith Swayze (Carpenter); and his siblings, Pauline Hardenburgh and Bernard Swayze. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Swayze; his children, Sheryl Crockett of St. Joseph, Steven Swayze (Jane) of Milford, Pamela Zeller (John) of Tustin and Jill McClain (Mark) of Xenia, Ohio; and his brother Robert Swayze of Flint. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Lapeer, The Baptist Church of Hadley or Community Baptist Church of Davison.
