He is survived by: his son Garnet Birner (Ball); his wife Karen Bellamy; his children, Amanda Stein (Gary), Nathan Birner (Vicky), Angela Birner and Sammy Showalter (Kurt); his mother Garnet; and his brothers, Reverend Philip Birner (Susan), Peter Birner (Janet), John Birner (Kate) and Paul Birner. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
