He was predeceased by: his parents, John Franta and Vivian Franta (Conklin); and his son Ronnie Franta. He is survived by: his wife Jane Franta; and his children, Bonnie Butcher (Greg), Joe Franta (Vicki), Karen Hendershott (Wayne), Brenda Dobis (Ron), Arlene Brown and Ronda Davis (Todd). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A rosary was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Allen Funeral Home (9136 Davison Rd, Davison, MI 48423). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (404 Dayton St, Davison, MI 48423).
