John Lewis Obituary
It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John Lewis of Davison, Michigan, who passed away at the age of 78, on April 11, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Lewis and Annie Lewis Rooks (Taylor); and his sisters, Joyce Michaletz and Betty Gail Bulluck. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca "Becky" Lewis; his children, Erik Lewis (DeAnna) and Erin Yezbick (Gerry); his grandchildren, Shawn Lewis (Hannah), Heather Lewis, Hailey Lewis, Jesse Yezbick, Nicholas Yezbick, Sadie Yezbick and Beatrice Yezbick; his great grandchildren, James Erik Lewis, Zachary Robert Lewis and Samuel John Lewis; his siblings, Jimmie Lewis, Nancy Pridgen, Gene Lewis and Ray Lewis (Ida); and his brother-in-law Mike Michaletz. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Faith Baptist Church (7306 E Atherton Rd, Davison, MI 48423). The military honors was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harvest Baptist Bible College, Barrigada, Guam (https://hbbcguam.org), in memory of Dr. Lewis.
