He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Slater and Betty Slater (Harris); and his sisters, Sharon Slater and Linda Davies. He is survived by: his wife Diane Slater; his children, Emily Shivlie (Michael), Lindsay Slater and Lynae Slater; his grandchildren, McKenzie Menard (Clark), Santein Shivlie, Royce Shivlie and Payton Shivlie; and his siblings, Karen Eden (Kenny), Barbara Frye (Charles), Sandra Candela and Sharyl Congdon (Craig). He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
