We bid farewell to George Gutgesell of Davison, Michigan, born in Flint, Michigan, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 29, 2024 at the age of 81. George touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. As we bid George farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For George is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Gutgesell and Edith Gutgesell (Musgrave); and his siblings, Jean Wheeler, Betty Gutgesell, Mary Gutgesell and Donnie Gutgesell.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Angell; and his sister Linda Herrington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, who were like his children; and many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Allen Funeral Home (9136 Davison Rd, Davison, MI 48423). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mark Lutheran Church (5073 Daly Blvd, Flint, MI 48506).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer's Association (https://act.alz.org), in George's memory.
