He was predeceased by: his parents, David Montpas and Dorothy Montpas (Ethier). He is survived by: his children, Debbie Gager (Tim), Dale Montpas and Dean Montpas; his close friend Jani Kehoe; his grandchildren, Melissa (Rob), Ashley (Steve), Brittany (Tyler), Alicia (Danny), Shelby (Matt), Cameron, Avery, Elsa and Easton; his great grandchildren, Mason, Connor, Raelynn, Cora and Kyle; his siblings, Barb Sirmeyer, Donna Dunstone and Bob Montpas (Lin); and also, Patty (Mark), Tommy (Cassy) and Craig (Marjorie).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society David was born in Flint, MI on September 12, 1939, son of the late David and Dorothy (Ethier) Montpas.

“Jani and Family, I am so sorry about Dave he was a big part of me and my sons life! Dave was the only PaPa Michael ever knew. We spent alot of summers together out by the pool when all his grand kids were growing up. He was loved by many and will never be forgottin!!! LOVE you all CINDY and Michael BARRETT jr.
