He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Rubey and Vivian Rubey; his former wife Paula Rubey; his son Paul Van Allen; and his stepson Kirk Watts.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine; his children, Troy Rubey (Jennifer) and Heidi Rubey; his stepdaughters, Theresa Ross (Michael) and Amy Slywka (Brad); his grandchildren, Kalie, Jessica and Kristine; his stepgrandchildren, Noah, Delaina, Katie, Emily and Lexi; and his siblings, Bethany Roedel and Joe Rubey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and his shooting brothers.
Due to Covid-19 and government regulations, only 25 people will be allowed in the chapel at one time.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lennon Veterans Memorial Wall.
