He was predeceased by: his parents, Brainard Woolwine and Ethel Woolwine (Cecil); his son-in-law Bob Gifford; and his close friend Rod Cooper. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Woolwine; his children, Donna Wright (Doc), Tina Gifford and Jake Woolwine (Karen); his sister Kathleen "Kat" Kettle; and his close friend Bob Moore. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friendship Free Will Baptist Church, in Basil's memory.
