He was predeceased by: his parents, William Kahl and Gertrude Kahl; his daughter-in-law Marilyn; and his brothers, Kenneth, James, John and Joseph.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Louise; his son Robert A. Kahl; his granddaughters, Sarah Erickson (Lucas) of Appleton, WI and April Kahl of Gwinn, MI; his great grandchildren, Walter, Aiden, Daniel, Beau and Zane; his sister Margarite; and his nephew William Kahl (Connie).
