He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Joseph and Gertrude Pfister (Reinders); his siblings, Robert George, Mary Siewart and Bob Pfister; his brothers-in-law, Thomas Sill, Frank Johnson and Alton Lee Hebert; and his in-laws, Willard, Irene Sill, Loki, Thor and SundancePer James.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Sill; his sons, Fred Robert Pfister and William James Pfister (Stephanie); his grandson Nicholas James Pfister; his stepgrandson Anthony Mazzola "AJ"; his sister Margaret "Marge" Hebert; his siblings-in-law, Donald Siewart, Jim Sill and Marjorie Johnson (Sill); and his nephew Robert Johnson (Jackie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
