He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn McGahey and Mable Irene Carver-McGahey (Meehan); his great grandchild Zoi; and his brothers, Don, Bob and Bill Carver.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Louise McGahey; his children, Shawn Pertunen (Christopher) of Petoskey, MI, Suzanne Harder (Andrew) of California, Catherine Leclerc (Peter) of Traverse City, MI, Richard McGahey II (Nicole) of Hersey, MI and Shannon Van Oflen (Jeff) of Arizona; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Cody, Brett, Drew, Adam, Matt (Jurilda), Nate, Thomas and Maggie; and his brother James Carver (Dorothy).
