We are sad to announce that on November 14, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Sophie Papes (Custer, Michigan), born in Scottville, Michigan. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton J. Evanauski and Sophia Evanauski (Baltusitis); her husband John Charles Papes; and her siblings, Peter, Frank Remeika, Nellie Driza and John Evanauski.
She is survived by: her children, John Papes Jr. (Pat) of Fountain, Ann Banwell (Robert) of Fountain and Alice McDonald (Michael) of Grand Haven; her grandsons, John Papes III (Beth), Andrew Papes and Robert Papes (Jenna); her great grandchildren, Griffin Papes, Delaney Ellicott, Madeline Papes and Mila Papes; her siblings-in-law, Alex Papes of Free Soil and Dorothy Papes of Ludington; and her nieces and nephews, Karen Prickett, Ron, Dan, Pit Remeika, Tony Driza, Jim and Deb Driza. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and great friends.
All those attending are required to wear masks and practice social distancing while inside the church.
Those who wish to remember Sophie with a memorial donation are asked to make it to her family and they will decide which organization the donations will be distributed to after the services.
