He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest E. Teelander and Evelyn L. Teelander (Marks); his grandson Michael Nixon; and his siblings, Beverly Titof, Bonnie Sepkoski and Carl Teelander.

He is survived by: his daughter Kimberlee Nixon of Custer; and his granddaughter Nicole Heil of Roscommon. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
