He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman Philpott and Maude Philpott (Wheeler); and his siblings, Jim, Bill Philpott and Gerri Render.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Ann Sober; his children, Mike Philpott (Betty) of Gwinn, Angela Wierda (Del) of Hamilton, Bruce Philpott of Wyoming, MI and Vicki Berry (Matthew) of Portage; his grandchildren, Heather Philpott, Jeff Philpott, Justin Schuitema, Keaton Wierda, Elizabeth Philpott, Hunter and Paige Berry; his great grandchildren, Ilah and Willie; his brother Thomas Philpott (Diane) of Fowlerville; and his sister-in-law Joanne Philpott of Fenton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
