He was predeceased by: his parent George Osterhout; his wife Violet; his son David; his grandson Rich Bradley; and his siblings, Clare and Frank.

He is survived by: his parent Hazel Osterhout (Gage); his children, Laura Bradley of Lake City, Richard of Curtis, Harold (Sandy) of Newberry, Ron (Ellie) of Gould City and Brenda Morrison of Kingsford; and his sister Margie Stanfell (William) of Ypsilanti. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
