It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Lorraine Smith of Crystal, Michigan, who passed away on February 7, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lois Lorraine Smith to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence VanAmburg and Clela VanAmburg; her husband Allen Smith; her son-in-law Gus Pline; and her siblings, Elaine Thrasher, Georgia Haines, Arleta Reddin, Doris Babbitt and Don VanAmburg.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cindy Lawless (Ken), Robin Pline, Terri Hill (Douglas) and Janice Newman (Matthew); and her sister-in-law Carolyn Cross (Smith). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ionia Freedom Acres School (where great granddaughter Sammy Johnson attends) or the Portland Athletic Association in memory of Lois.
