He was predeceased by: his parents, Volney Vassar and Florence Vassar (Snodie); his grandson Anthony Hernandez; and his brother-in-law Jerry Fatturi. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Ponchaud; his children, Aaron Ponchaud (Marnie Gilligan) of Crystal Falls, Brad Ponchaud of Lomira, Wis. and Laurieann Hernandez of Crystal Falls, Mich.; his grandchildren, Cody (Meegan), Chase (Angela) and Casey; his sisters, Glenrose Fatturi, Crystal Falls, Johnene Anderson (Clayton) and Humboldt Junction; and his pet Izzybella.
