He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Johnson and Senia Johnson (Palomaki); his wife Elaine; his daughter Shelly Johnson; his brother Donald Johnson; and his parents-in-law, Carl and Judith Christianson.
He is survived by: his children, Marsha Wainio (Roy) of Sagola, Rodney Johnson (Marion) of Mansfield Township and Dale Johnson (Dee Dee) of Sagola; his grandchildren, Faith Kuzak (John) of Crystal Falls, Jason Johnson (Michelle) of Sagola, David Johnson (Heather) of Kingsford, Kristel Johnson of Madison Heights, MI and Katie Lorentzen (Ryan) of Maplewood, MN; and his sister Marion Johnson of Kingsford. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in his memory.
