We are sad to announce that on February 7, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Kathleen Anna Poikonen of Crystal Falls, Michigan, born in Quincy, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She is survived by: her spouse Reino Poikonen; her son Allan Poikonen (Tuula); her grandchildren, Kristen Malecek (Garet) and Dr. Stefan Poikonen; and her great grandchild Emilia Malecek.
Most recently she was diagnosed with Covid-19.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial gifts be designated to Alzheimer's disease research at Mayo Clinic.
