It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Allan Holkup of Crystal Falls, Michigan, who passed away on August 30, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Holkup and Magdulene Holkup (Dufec); his siblings, Marion Holkup, Marjorie Eckola and Francis Holkup; and his nephew David Eckola.
He is survived by: his nieces, Susan Eckola Shimkowitz (Elliot) of Crystal Falls and Kathy Holkup Kendrek (Walter) of Middletown, CT; his cousins, Bob Holkup and Jim Holkup; his great-nephews, Derik Read, Chris Eckola and Steve O'Brien; his great-niece Kim Hebb; and his close friend Jim Anderson of Trenton, MI.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in George's memory can be made to the donor's charity of choice.
