He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Gigstead and Mable Gigstead (Nelson); his wife Norrine Schindler; and his siblings, Gilbert, Elman, Alton, Roger Gigstead and Betty Stoger. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
