She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Hoitsma and Cora Hoitsma (Beezhold). She is survived by: her husband Philip; her children, Thomas (Lisa) of Hamilton, Jane Holsbeke (Mark) of Fenton, Joy Sutherland (Ron) of Croswell and Susan Wideman of Croswell; her grandchildren, Alison, Amanda (Brandon) and Cameron; and her great grandchildren, Liam and Turner.

Memorials may be made to the Grace Hospice or First Presbyterian Women's Group or Meals on Wheels West Michigan.
