He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilber Thorne and Edith Thorne (Harvey); his sister Anna Ruth Manley; and his wife Carol. He is survived by: his children, Rex Thorne (Elizabeth), Stewart Thorne, Joseph Thorne (Jackie), Douglas Thorne (Michelle), Cherie Mattis (Mike), Connie Silvers (Allan) and Rose Silvers (Rod). He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, many great grandchildren.
