He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arnold LaPorte and Bernice LaPorte (Sova); his son Erick LaPorte (Kristen); his grandchildren, Liliana and Wesley; his daughter Corie Switalski (James); his grandchildren, Ruby and James; and his brothers, Jerry (Nancy) and David LaPorte (Monica). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews, and many friends.
