It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Seward Butcher Sr. of Corunna, Michigan, who passed away on January 28, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Butcher and Sadie Butcher (Seward); his wives, JoAnne Sullivan and Annebelle; his sons, Tom and Don Butcher Jr.; and his brothers, Arlo, Dale Sr. and Gary.
He is survived by: his children, Kathryn Bacon (Rich), Sue Krauss (Duane), Jan Yerian (John), Sandy Hand (Darrell) and Tim Butcher (Kelly); and his brother Bob Butcher. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:15 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Corunna United Methodist Church (200 W McArthur St, Corunna, MI 48817). A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the Pine Tree Cemetery (701 Pine St, Corunna, MI 48817).
Memorial contributions in Donald's name are suggested to the Corunna United Methodist Church.
