Christopher Hayden Cannaert Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Christopher Hayden Cannaert (Corunna, Michigan), who passed away on April 1, 2025 at the age of 40. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, John (Papa), Donna Dale (Byers) and Denis Cannaert (Bumpa); and his great-grandparents, Charles, Jennie Cannaert (Hayden), Stanley, Lucille Genei (Johnston), Fred, Margie Byers (Bachman), Dudley and Annabelle Dale (Baker).

He is survived by: his parent Michele Cannaert (Dale); his son Andrew; his father Mumps; his grandmother Eileen Cannaert (Genei); his uncles, John Dale, Michael Cannaert (Shelia) and Steven (Stephanie); his aunt Cindy (Tracy); his cousins, Laura Dale, Emily Pruitt, Zachary Dale, Leah Cannaert, Ethan Cannaert, Colin Cannaert and Olivia Cannaert; and also Danielle Whitney.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kensington Metro Park.

Because shelter/service animals held such a special place in Chris' life, the family is requesting that any donations in his memory be made to his two favorite animal charities.
