He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard "Dick" Doty and Elaine Doty (Benjamin); his brother Daniel Doty; and his close friends, Dennis Pelky and Matt Hunt.

He is survived by: his wife Cynthia; his stepchildren, Maegan Palacio and Brandon McBean (Gabrielle); his daughter Molly Doty; his grandchildren, Callie, Kaiya, Gavyn and Braydon; his brothers, Tim, Tom (Kassandra) and Brad Doty (Ann-Mari); his parents-in-law, Varnum and Cheryl Boyer; and his sister-in-law Christine Rodgers. He is also survived by several nieces, nephew, cousins, and special friends.
