She is survived by: her sister Cathy VanLiere; her daughters, Amanda Grassley (John Parmer), Michele Ludtke (Chris), Diane Richardson (late Kris) and Rebecca Goerner (Rick); her grandchildren, Craig Grassley (Carrie), Heather Walker (Ryan), Emily Michelini (Joe), Aaron Ludtke (Valentina), Sara Gross (Hunter), Madison Ludtke, Clint LaPreze (Jen), Ali LaPreze, Kristin Morrison (Eric), Jason Richardson (Korin), Kathryn Goerner (Seth Ketelaar), Adam Goerner (Jasmine) and Mitchell Goerner (Liz McCall); her great grandchildren, Teagan, Torrie, Harrison, Retta, Sloane, Asher, Krue, Elliot, Oliver, Tyson, Jackson and Myla; and her siblings-in-law, Gene Grassley, Nancy Grassley and Lora Clark.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Grace Community Church (9920 Reed Rd, Howard City, MI 49329). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Grace Community Church - Howard City (9920 Reed Rd, Howard City, MI 49329).

In honor of Lorna and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Amble Methodist Church.

“Lorna was the reason I went to Nursing school. She called me into her office one day at the hospital and said what are your plans once you graduate high school as you won’t be happy as a nurse aide all your life. She assisted me in applying for Nursing school. So many times over my career I’ve given her thanks for steering me in the right direction. I retired a year ago after 45 years of Nursing. She was a true Leader. My condolences on your loss. Susan Dixson”
