He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Winquist and Helen Winquist (Perreault); his former wife Lucille Kraemer; and his siblings, James "Gar" Winquist, Loretta Paulson, Darlene Talvensaari and Lorretta Paulson.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Heikkila; his children, Jim Winquist (Debbie) and Nancy Crouch (Chris); his stepson Kevin Heikkila (Kathy); his grandchildren, Stacy Brey (Terry), Chad Crouch, Bryan Winquist and Sarah Winquist; his great grandchildren, Kali, Kayden, McKenzie, Dylan, Tarynn and Maari; his stepgrandchildren, Nathan and Kirsi; and his brother-in-law Bob Talvensaari. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
