It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gordon Kauppila of Copper City, Michigan, who passed away on October 31, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Waino Kauppila and Anna Kauppila (Waara); and his wife Adeline E. Hendrickson. He is survived by: his siblings, Paul (Bertha), Walter (Marie), Melvin, Vaino (Ted), Kenneth, Donald, Kathleen, Mildred (Jack) and Florence (Arvo); his brothers-in-law, Gordon Usitalo and George Tarnowski; his children, Greta, Wayne, Yvonne (Steve), Stuart (Nancy), Glenn (Lisa) and Rhea; his sisters, Phyllis Tarnowski and Carol Usitalo; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Kauppila, Ardene Kauppila, Agnes Black and Paul Mayhak (Norma). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
