She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Nienhouse and Alice Nienhouse (Kroeske); her siblings, Duka Nienhouse and Ann Timmer (Al); and her siblings-in-law, John Steenstra, Robert VanDerHeide and Annett Heisenga (Charlie).
She is survived by: her husband Frank VanDerHeide; her children, Amy Prins (Steve), Tom VanDerHeide (Ana), Doug VanDerHeide (Jennifer) and Jenny Beerens (Craig); her sisters, Cora Dykema and Hilda Steenstra; and her siblings-in-law, Sam VanDerHeide (Denise), Martin VanDerHeide III (Mary), Mike VanDerHeide (Linda), Eileen Hansen (Harold) and Becky VanDerHeide. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.
