He is survived by: his wife Lydia; his children, Metty Boerkoel (Bob), Mieke Engelsma (Jonathan) and Bill Henke (Jane); his grandchildren, Allison Kelderman (Nathan), Neal Boerkoel (Kim), Leah VanWoerden (Peter), Silvia Boerkoel, Phillip Boerkoel, Marie VandenBerg (Charles), Jaco Engelsma (Amber Griess), Lydia Timmer (Steve), Annemieke Engelsma, Luke Engelsma, Rachelann Engelsma, Ruthann Engelsma, Anna Henke, Willem Henke and Emily Henke; his great grandchildren, Toby Kelderman, Liam Boerkoel, Leroy VandenBerg, Wesley VandenBerg and James Timmer; and his siblings-in-law, Piet Crum (Mijni), Rini Crum, Ina Crum and Miep Middelkoop (Jan).
