It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patricia Lou (Rhoades) Sommers of Coopersville, Michigan, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on June 10, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Rhoades and Gladys Hale (See); her former husband Raymond Benac; her siblings, Terry Rhoades, Ron Rhoades (Linda), Greg Rhoades and Peggy Bartholomew; her siblings-in-law, Joyce Thoms, Leona Klein, Beverly Zick, Ginny Johnson, Calvin "Butch" Sommers and Ira Sommers; her niece Rhonda Rhoades; and her nephew Steven Rhoades.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Sommers; her children, Cindy Bleckley (Craig), Bob Sikkema, Julie Maxwell and Brian Sikkema (Denise); her daughter-in-law Renee Sikkema; her stepchildren, Dawn Feringa (Scott), Duane Sommers (Shanna), Kim Kauffman, Bob Ball, Dawn Benac, Randy Elders (Penny) and Tony Benac (Kim); her sister-in-law Joyce Tenharmsel (Dan); and her close friend Ursula Huesing. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.
