He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Burgener and Vernie Burgener (Wittenberg); and his siblings, Evelyn Kilpatrick and Paul Burgener. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Burgener; his children, Lucy Grindel, Martin Burgener, Corky Myers (Kirk), Ken Burgener (Suzanne) and Åsa Frithiofson; and his sister-in-law Jane Burgener. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sister.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Three Rivers Hospice.
