He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Steffens and Florence Steffens (Jost) of Comstock Park; his siblings, Edwin (Gert), Albert, Arthur (Ima), Mary Ann Grose (Maurice) and Phyllis VanKeuren (Bob); his son-in-law Gary Juhlin; and his son Freddy.

He is survived by: his children, Dennis Steffens (Mary Jo), Nadine Zarzecki (Dan), Mary Juhlin (Greg Tusch), Gary Steffens, Michelle Yoder, Robert Steffens (Barbara Lukasik) and James Steffens (Toni); his grandchildren, Ryan (Liz), Travis (Kaelee), Sarah Steffens, Nadia, Adam Zarzecki (Casey), Tanya Lascari (Jen), David (Stephanie), Dana Juhlin, Raymond, Melissa Yoder and Zachary Simms; his great grandchildren, Tobias, Rohen, Melanie, Izaiah and Madelyn; and his sister-in-law Marge Steffens. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, in-laws and extended family.
